Let the season begin. The Wildwood Catholic boys basketball team tipped off its season Friday night with a huge 99-65 win over Buena Regional. Caleb Fields had 20 points for the Crusaders, and Trey Smith added 18. Wildwood Catholic is ranked as the fifth best boys team in our region by the Press of Atlantic City. Middle Township knocked off Bridgeton, 54-45 while St. Augustine beat Ocean City, 71-44. Wildwood and Wildwood Catholic girls also picked up impressive victories.
