SPORTS: PHILS WITHOUT LIDGE FOR MONTH OR SO

The Philadelphia Phillies will begin their baseball season with their closer on the shelf for about a month, maybe more.  Brad Lidge has a shoulder injury, and the Phillies announced that he will not need surgery to correct the problem.  However, Phillies’ General Manager Rueben Amaro Jr. says that Lidge will be shut down for three to six weeks as a result of the injury.
