Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Roy Oswalt is lost to the team until sometime in August. The Phillies confirmed over the weekend that Oswalt has a bulging disk in his back and he’s on the shelf for the next several weeks. Oswalt told the Phillies that the pain from his back was going down his leg. He believes he will be available to pitch during the stretch run of the pennant race. Doctors have told him that he needs surgery on the problem, eventually.
