SPORTS: PHILLIES BOUNCE WHEELS, MATTHEWS OUT OF THE BROADCAST BOOTH

Phillies fans, say so long to two longtime Phillies baseball announcers.  The Phillies announced this week that Chris Wheeler and Gary Matthews have been bounced out of the television broadcast booth.  It’s all part of a new television contract between NBC University and Comcast Sports Net.  Both will still work for the Phillies, but they will not be part of the television broadcasts.  Wheeler has been broadcasting games since 1971.
