Peter Laviolette is out as the head coach of the Philadelphia Flyers. The Flyers held a press conference this morning and announced that Laviolette has been canned after the Flyers lost their first three games of the season. Assistant Coach Craig Berube has been elevated to the head coaching position. Laviolette had signed a two year extension on his contract last season.
