SPORTS: EAGLES CUT VETERAN JASON BABIN

He’s made the Pro Bowl each of the past two seasons, but the Eagles have had enough of defensive end Jason Babin.  The Eagles cut Babin on Tuesday, saying that they want to give some younger players additional playing time.  Babin recorded 18 sacks for the Eagles in 2011, but has had only 5.5 sacks during the first 11 games of this season.  The Eagles have won only three times.
