The state has double downed on its sports betting lawsuit and lost so far. The U.S. Supreme Court is the last chance for the state to win. The attorney’s representing the state have won though. The AP reports that the state has payed Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher $2.8 million to represent the state in its effort to overturn a federal ban against sports betting. The law firm is the same one Christie paid to investigate Bridgegate. It is believed the Supreme Court could make a decision this month whether it will hear the the case or not.
