SPECIAL SESSION CALLED TO DISCUSS BAIL REFORM

Gov. Chris Christie has called lawmakers to Trenton on Thursday to discuss bail reform. One of the issues at hand would allow judges to deny bail for certain criminals deemed to be a danger to the public. State lawmakers are in their summer recess currently. A second measure would also try to address the issues of low income criminals from being stuck in jail because they can’t afford to get out.
