The state’s Supreme Court is going to investigate the education cuts made by Gov. Chris Christie in the last budget. The state cut around $1 billion of education funding during the last budget cycle to keep things balanced. Christie argued that cuts needed to be made all around and “shared sacrifice.” A “special master” has been appointed by the Supreme Court to look into the cuts and find out whether they were constitutional or not. The report will be issued by March 31.
