A well-known Cumberland County concert is no more. The Southern Shore Music Festival has officially called it quits. A message on the event’s facebook page said that the numbers don’t support continuing the event this year.
“There are a number of wonderful festivals like ours in the region, and we know fans often have to decide how to budget their entertainment dollars,”
the statement reads. “But the sudden appearance of new mega budget, corporate-driven events have dealt us a severe blow.”
The concert had previously been known as the Bridgeton Folk Festival, before changing its name nearly five years ago.
