SOUTH JERSEY TOWNS PRESSURE VERIZON TO KEEP PHONE SERVICE

16 southern New Jersey communities are putting pressure on Verizon to maintain landline telephone service.  The group of 16 towns filed a petition with the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities that calls for Verizon not to abandon its landline service.  Many of the communities are in Cumberland and Salem counties
