The Press of Atlantic City reports that South Jersey Gas received state approval Friday to lower rates by 10 percent to their customers. The state Board of Public Utilities approved the rate decrease, due to lower wholesale prices for natural gas. The reduction in the pass-through cost of natural gas means a drop of just over $14 per month for a customer using 100-therms per month.
