Mayor William Pikolycky is pleased to announce that this past Tuesday marked a momentous occasion for Woodbine residents and business owners who have long awaited the extension of natural gas service into their community. Construction crews for the South Jersey Gas (SJG) main extension project officially started the installation of the natural gas main that will serve the municipal building, school, fire department in addition to the many homes and businesses that have already applied for service.
“We recognize that many in Woodbine have waited a long time for natural gas and we appreciate their patience and the support of Mayor Pikolycky during this process,” stated Bob Fatzinger, vice president customer and distributions operation. “This extension project provides the municipality, business owners and residents with a great opportunity to lower their energy costs by switching to a more energy efficient and environmentally friendly fuel source.”
SJG is working with Mayor Pikolycky to coordinate outreach efforts and is planning a Community Information Day in the near future to assist residents and business owners in better understanding their energy options and to answer any questions community members may have regarding the project.
