SOUTH JERSEY GAS SEEKS TO LOWER RATE FOR CUSTOMERS

Gas prices could be going down for South Jersey Gas customers. The utility is seeking to lower the price per customer on average by 4.3 percent. The announcement came on Wednesday after the utility lowered its rate by over 10 percent in 2010. The state’s Board of Public Utilities still must approve the rate reduction. Utility companies do not make additional money on rate changes
