A Somers Point-based contractor has been indicted on charges of taking $1.3 million in federal funding to rebuild after Hurricane Sandy and never performing the work for nearly two dozen customers. New Jersey Attorney General Christopher Porrino announced that Lawrence McAllister III and his wife Monica have both been indicted on charges of violating the state’s Consumer Fraud Act. The McAllisters repeatedly stalled or delayed projects with different stories to their victims.
