SOME SLOW TO CONNECT TO WATER IN LOWER

A mandatory hook up ordinance is not enough to get some people to hook up to water in Lower Township. Hundreds of households in the Villas have yet to take all of the necessary steps to sign up for water service. Coastal Broadcasting spoke to the Lower MUA Executive Director Mike DeMarcantonio, who said 81 liens have been placed on homes who have hooked up to the service. DeMarcantonio said the MUA can not continue to afford to pay for the expansion of the water lines and not have residents hook up and pay for the service.
