State lawmakers are still hopefully to make marijuana legal. Gov. Chris Christie is against signing a bill into law to make recreational marijuana use in New Jersey legal. A number of states have already approved recreational use but New Jersey is not one of them. Some are unsure if the Trump Administration will change how the rules of marijuana are enforced. Federal enforcement efforts of marijuana stopped during the Obama administration. Any hopes to legalize marijuana in New Jersey wouldn’t be able to come until after Christie leaves office.
