SOCKS FOR SENIORS COLLECTION GROWS LOCALLY

The annual Socks for Seniors collection this year has seen significant growth. Last year, local organizer Chris South collected 800 pairs of socks, but is over 1,000 this year. The “Socks for Seniors” campaign, started twelve years ago by a couple in Columbus, Ohio, is now in hundreds of cities across the nation. The program is unique in that they only collect socks and distribute them to nursing homes in the area where they are collected
