SMALL TAX DECREASE SLATED FOR MIDDLE TOWNSHIP IN ’15

Middle Township plans to do more, with less.  The Township Committee met this week and introduced a new $20.3 million budget that would drop the local purpose tax rate by about one third of a penny.  Mayor Tim Donohue announced that the budget process started with a two cent tax increase, and after some hard work, the tax increase was eliminated.  Middle Township is benefitting this year by growth in the ratable base.
