SMALL DROP IN UNEMPLOYMENT NUMBERS IN STATE FOR MARCH

The unemployment figures are getting slightly better. March numbers in the state showed a one-tenth decrease to 9.8 percent. State numbers continue to sag behind the national data. The national unemployment numbers were at 9.7 percent. Despite the improved percentage, 3,100 jobs were lost according to the new state numbers.
