Officials with the Delaware River and Bay Authority are calling out New Jersey Governor Chris Christie for an inaccurate statement he made about the alleged use of EZ Pass. The DRBA issued a press release, stating that the Governor was wrong to call for the DRBA to remove EZ Pass perks for employees and retirees. In the statement, the authority says that since the inception of EZ Pass tolls on the Delaware Memorial Bridge in July, 2001, the authority has never permitted free EZ Pass usage to its employees or retirees. In 2008, the free EZ Pass privileges for DRBA commissioners to use the bridge were also eliminated.
