On Thursday night Covenant House of Atlantic City teamed up with members of the community, by having a “Sleep Out” in the streets. The event was also hosted by Covenant Houses across the nation to raise awareness about the homeless problem. Local Covenant House employees say there is an ongoing problem of homeless adolescents in Atlantic City. During the Sleep Out, participants sleep out on the street in freezing temperatures, to experience what it’s like to be homeless for a night.
