SHOULD ALL NEW HOMES BUILT IN NEW JERSEY REQUIRE SPRINKLERS?

A Senate committee approved a bill on Thursday that may require fire suppressant sprinklers being installed in all new homes that are built.  The measure would require contractors to install sprinkler systems in most new homes built in the state.  The measure is supported by some firefighting agencies, opposed by some contractors’ associations.
