SHOTS FIRED IN ABSECON, INVESTIGATION ON-GOING

Just after 9:00 pm on Tuesday, Absecon Police dispatch received multiple 911 calls reporting several gunshots fired in the vicinity of building #2 in the Oyster Bay Apartment complex off of California Avenue in Absecon. Officers arrived to find bullet casings in the parking lot and bullet impacts to the exterior of building #2. Several witnesses reported hearing the gunfire and seeing a short, black male running from the scene before entering a dark colored sedan and fleeing the area. There were no reported injuries. The preliminary investigation indicates the shooting targeted a specific apartment in building #2. Anyone with information is asked to contact Det.
