The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office and Egg Harbor City Police Department are investigating the shooting of an Egg Harbor City man early Wednesday morning. In response to a 9-1-1 call, Egg Harbor City Police and emergency medical personnel responded this morning, October 7, 2015 at 12:10 a.m., to the 300 block of 8th Terrace, in Egg Harbor City, for a report that a person had been shot. Upon arrival, police found John Daniels, 31, of Egg Harbor City, inside a residence, the victim of gunshot wounds. Emergency medical responders transported Daniels by helicopter to AlantiCare Medical Center—City Division, where he is being treated for serious injuries. The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Gangs, Guns, and Narcotics Unit and the Egg Harbor City Police Department continue the investigation.
