SEXUAL ASSAULT LEADS TO LOWER TOWNSHIP’S MAN ARREST

A local man has been charged with a sexual assault. Somers Point police confirm that Jose Vargas, of the Villas, was arrested for an incident that allegedly took place at the Somers Point Shoprite. He was arrested last year for assault on a customer while working at Shoprite and Walmart in Middle Township. Bail was set at $50,000. The attack remains under investigation.
