New Jersey’s two United States Senators on Friday asked President Obama to kill a plan that would result in offshore drilling near the New Jersey coastline. Senators Robert Menendez and Cory Booker were unified in asking the President to drop a proposal to open part of the Atlantic coastline to oil and gas drilling. The Senators say the state is still recovering from Hurricane Sandy and does not need another threat to tourism or the environment.
