SENATE PANEL SAYS LET VOTERS DECIDE SPORTS BETTING

A bill in the Senate that would allow voters the chance to decide to legalize sports betting passed through a panel. The legislation is pending a lawsuit against the federal government. If the bill passed both houses and is signed off by Gov. Chris Christie, then the voters would have a ballot question to decide whether they want to legalize sports betting. It is estimated that legalizing sports betting could bring in over $200 million to the state a year.
