Legislation advanced on Friday to provide in-state tuition rates for illegal immigrants. The measure is expected to get a full vote in the Senate on Monday. Gov. Chris Christie, who once opposed the measure, said he was open to it during the debates. Currently, 16 states have provisions allowing in-state tuition rates for undocumented students.
