SENATE APPROVES NEW STATE BUDGET, ADDS $300 MILLION

The New Jersey Senate approved a new State budget Monday that totals $34.8 billion.  The Senate added $300 million in additional funding to pay for anti-poverty initiatives.  The New Jersey Assembly will also vote on the budget later in the day.  The Senate vote was 28-11 to endorse this new budget.
