SELF EMPLOYED WOMAN INDICTED FOR COLLECTING UNEMPLOYMENT

A self-employed businesswoman from Central Jersey has been formally indicted for collecting unemployment benefits despite the fact that she is self-employed.  56 year old Mary Rapkowicz of Point Pleasant has been accused of cashing over $56,000 worth of unemployment checks from the state.  She is self-employed by her own medical company.  Rapkowicz could receive jail time if she is found guilty.
