SELECT BEACHES IN OCEAN CITY CLOSED FOR HEALTH REASONS

Three beaches in Ocean City were closed by the Cape May County Health Department on Thursday.  The culprit was sewage overflow at a bath house that closed beaches at Fifth, Sixth, and Seventh streets.  County Health Officer Kevin Thomas says the beaches were closed as a precautionary measure.  About 35 gallons of sewage wound up in a storm drain.  If samples come back clean on Friday, those three beaches will reopen to the public.
