SEASIDE PARK CANCELS CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION FOR TODAY

Seaside Park officials cancelled a fireworks display and other events that were going to be held today to celebrate the community’s centennial.  Instead, local officials and fire officials are still dealing with a huge fire that destroyed a major park of the resort’s boardwalk.  Dozens of businesses were gutted during the Thursday afternoon that fire that still has hotspots on Friday.  Some business owners in Seaside Park report that business way way down following Hurricane Sandy, and this fire happened at the worst time possible.
