SEARCH CALLED OFF FOR MAN MISSING OFF AVALON

The United States Coast Guard has called off the search for a boater who was missing about nine miles off the coast of Avalon.  56 year old Vincent Tangoracq of New York was reported missing just before the weekend as he was attempted to sail from New York to North Carolina in rough seas.  His vessel was found, but he was no on board the boat.  Helicopters and a cutter both searched for the man, but to no avail.
