SEA ISLE MAN ASSAULTS FAMILY, POLICE OFFICERS

A 22 year old Sea Isle City man has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of assault after he assaulted a family member, then took out his anger on city police.  Police arrested Gregory Devery-Haffert during the early morning hours of Sunday, September 16th after the assault.  Police say Devery-Haffert also fought with the responding officer and several officers were called to place him under arrest.  Police believe the suspect was under the influence of narcotics.  Devery-Haffert was hauled off to the county jail on $20,000 cash bail.
