SEA ISLE CITY GETS CLASS FIVE RATING FOR FLOOD INSURANCE SAVINGS

Sea Isle City Mayor Len Desiderio had good news to share with residents at a Monday morning press conference. The Federal Emergency Management Agency has certified Sea Isle City as a “Class 5” Community, which means local residents will save 25 percent on their flood insurance premiums. Through working closely with FEMA and upgrading local building ordinances, the city was able to save residents over $1 million in flood insurance premiums. The new discounts will take effect for flood insurance bills that are due after October 31st.
