A beach fill project in Sea Isle City is getting under way. Sea Isle City Police are warning the public to be aware that beaches will be shut down in the city a couple of streets at a time. The project is beginning at 1st and 2nd St. Each of Sea Isle City’s beaches will be replenished during this project, with approximately 1.9 million cubic yards of sand to be pumped onto Sea Isle’s shoreline. Additional work includes the construction of new pedestrian beach paths, installation of new dune fencing and dune grass, a new stair entrance at the 12th Street beach, and reconstruction of storm drainage systems at 82nd and 86th Streets.
