Former Education Commissioner Bret Schundler didn’t have a problem taking the blame for a clerical error that cost New Jersey $400 million. Schundler didn’t have a problem with being fired. He is upset that he says Gov. Chris Christie is misrepresenting what he said and he wants an apology. Schunlder has maintained that he told Christie that he did not provide the proper budget information and it was his mistake. Christie said that Schundler lied to him. The AP is reporting that Schundler told them all he wants from Christie is an apology for saying that Schundler lied. Schundler is expected to testify in both the Senate and Assembly hearings on the mistake and fallout.
