SCHOOL VOUCHER PROGRAM ADVANCES THROUGH COMMITTEE

A new bill that has created quite a stir advanced in Trenton. The legislation would implement a school voucher program for some of the state’s failing district. The measure made it past a key committee in the Assembly on Thursday. The 40,000 scholarships would be available in 13 of the state’s worst districts. It would allow a student to transfer to their private school of choice.
