The U.S. Small Business Administration has given out over $30 million in loans for Superstorm Sandy survivors in the past three months and more money is available. The S.B.A. has given New Jersey residents until December 1st to file for assistance during this second opportunity for financial help. The money is available to businesses, homeowners and renters, whether or not they have submitted an application during the initial Hurricane Sandy disaster declaration. The loan amount can be up to $2 million for businesses. Homeowners can borrow up to $200,000 to repair or replace disaster damaged or destroyed real estate, with interest rates as low as 1.688 percent.
