SANDY FALLOUT: MANTALOOKING TO REASSESS ALL PROPERTIES

A Jersey Shore community walloped by Hurricane Sandy will likely approve a total reassessment of all taxable properties during a special meeting held Wednesday morning.  Community leaders are expected to approve a new reassessment for the community that saw both primary and secondary homes wiped out by the storm last October.  All buildings in Mantalooking were either severely damaged or destroyed during the storm; some wound up in the Barnegat Bay.
