The final sporting event in the history of Sacred Heart High School was played on Sunday in Toms River. Unfortunately, the Lady Lions lost 6-4 to Immaculate Conception of Bergen County in the Finals of the Non-Public B softball championship. The Sacred Heart softball team finished the season with a school record 31 wins. The high school, which opened in 1927, is closing this month due to declining enrollment.
