Ruth Blessing, the former mayor of Dennis Township, passed away on Sunday. Blessing was 75 years old, and was appointed to a position on the Dennis Township committee after her husband, Robert, passed away. Blessing then ran for office and won, eventually being appointed to the position of mayor. Blessing spent plenty of time assisting with the Dennis Township Senior Center. Blessing also volunteered as the director of the Dennis Township Chamber of Commerce. Funeral services for Ruth Blessing will be held on Thursday at the Radzieta Funeral Home in Cape May Court House.
