It’s been hard to do during a recession, but Rutgers University is very close to hitting its fundraising goal of $1 billion. The fundraising campaign began three years ago, and to date the university has over $800 million in the bank. Rutgers did cash in on a $12.5 million gift offered by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
