The annual New Jersey Run for the Fallen begins Thursday at 6 p.m. with a special flag ceremony at Sunset Beach in Cape May. The event honors state residents who died serving their country and names of local soldiers who gave their lives will be read at the ceremony. On Friday, runners will begin their route through Cape May and Atlantic Counties, ending at the N.J. Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial in Holmdel on Sunday. Every mile the runners will stop to hold a dedication ceremony for individual soldiers. Details and route maps can be found online at www.njrunforthefallen.org.
