RT. 47 FENDER-BENDER BACKS UP TRAFFIC IN RIO GRANDE

On Monday afternoon at about 2:40 p.m. a fender-bender disrupted traffic northbound in Rio Grande for about an hour. The accident occurred in front of the Cape May County Herald building, where two lanes of traffic merge into one. A black Lexus rear-ended a gold SUV, and witnesses say both drivers got out of their vehicles and appeared to avoid serious injury. The Lexus was towed way and the accident scene cleared as the police continue their investigation.
