ROUTE 55 ACCIDENT VICTIM WAS NOT SUBJECT TO A HIT AND RUN

A woman who was killed during a motor vehicle accident on Route 55 on Friday morning was not the victim of a hit and run.  New Jersey State Police now say 32 year old Anabel Aponte was ejected from her vehicle during her accident, and she was already dead when she was struck by a passing motorist.  A medical examiner has ruled that Aponte was not wearing a seat belt.
