The National Weather Service has posted a Coastal Flood Advisory for Tuesday evening. The forecast center says there will be a combination of onshore winds and high tides this evening that could cause some coastal flooding at time of high tide. High tide will occur on local beaches tonight between 8:00pm and 9:30pm, and about an hour later on the back bays. Some flood prone areas may see some street flooding later tonight.
In addition, there is a high risk of rip currents throughout the day at the Jersey Shore due to the winds out of the northeast. Beach patrols may keep swimmers close to shore during the day today. It will not be a good beach day as clouds and some showers dominate the forecast.
