A hearing will take place on Friday on the “emergency” request by Revel Casino Hotel for permission to sell the resort to developer Glenn Straub’s company instead of Brookfield US Holdings. Straub’s company was the runner-up of a bankruptcy auction with a $95.4 million bid. According to The Press of Atlantic City, the Florida developer says he does not plan to attend the hearing. The report says Revel said it gave Brookfield a prospective notice of termination of the planned sale that takes effect Friday at 5 p.m. Straub wouldn’t comment on whether he still wants the property.
