The company who had a deal in place to purchase the Revel Casino has pulled out of that deal. Brookfield US Holdings, LLC says it is no longer interested in moving forward on its $110 million purchase of the shuttered casino. The decision is related to the power plant that supplies Revel with its power. Brookfield was looking to adjust the amount paid per month for those utilities but an agreement could not be reached to bring down how much would be paid. It is unclear what will take place next as there was a second buyer who was interested in the property, but it isn’t clear if it would be used as a casino in that scenario.
